देशभर के पत्रकार साथियों, क्या आप जानते हैं कि केंद्र सरकार के कानून एवं न्याय मंत्रालय ने 29 सितंबर 2020 को सरकारी नोटिफिकेशन जारी करके “श्रमजीवी पत्रकार” की परिभाषा का नए सिरे से व्याख्या करते हुए, “डिजिटल मीडिया व रेडियो” से जुड़े साथियों को भी ” पत्रकार ” मान लिया है। इससे पहले सिर्फ प्रिंट मीडिया से जुड़े साथियों को ही पत्रकार माना जाता था। वर्किंग जर्नलिस्ट्स ऑफ इंडिया, यूनियन की तरफ से डिजिटल मीडिया के साथियों व रेडियो से जुड़े साथियों को लेकर छेड़े गए एक बड़े आंदोलन के बाद सरकार ने यूनियन की आवाज सुनी और डिजिटल मीडिया व रेडियो से जुड़े साथी पत्रकार माने जाने लगे। उस 29 सितंबर 2020 की अधिसूचना के बाद ही केंद्र सरकार के सूचना व प्रसारण मंत्रालय में डिजिटल मीडिया का एक अलग विभाग बनाया गया व केंद्र सरकार ने डिजिटल मीडिया के पत्रकारों को सूचीबद्ध करना शुरू किया व केंद्र व राज्य सरकारों ने उन्हें विज्ञापन भी देना शुरू किया। इन सबकी जानकारी, यूनियन की तरफ से 25 जनवरी, शाम 4 बजे होने वाली वर्कशॉप में वेबिनार के जरिए आपको जानकारी दी जाएगी। इस वेबिनार में सिर्फ वर्किंग जर्नलिस्ट्स ऑफ इंडिया, यूनियन के मेंबर्स ही जुड़ सकते हैं, यदि अभी आप मेंबर नहीं है, तो

Journalists across the country, do you know that the Ministry of Law and Justice of the Central Government issued a government notification on 29 September 2020, reinterpreting the definition of “serial journalist” and considering colleagues associated with “digital media and radio” as “journalists”. Earlier, only colleagues associated with print media were considered journalists. After a big movement launched by the Working Journalists of India Union regarding colleagues from digital media and radio, the government listened to the voice of the union and colleagues associated with digital media and radio started being considered journalists. It was only after that notification of 29 September 2020 that a separate department of digital media was created in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Central Government and the Central Government started listing the journalists of digital media and the Central and State Governments also started giving them advertisements. वर्किंग जर्नलिस्ट्स ऑफ इंडिया, यूनियन के मेंबर साथियों, जिस साथी को यूनियन का बैज, यूनियन का लेनयार्ड (डोरी, पट्टा), व्हीकल स्टिकर मिल जाता है, तो वह इन वस्तुओं के साथ एक सेल्फी खींचकर यूनियन के पास भेजे। उनकी फोटो यूनियन की वेबसाइट पर अपलोड की जाएगी।
